First off, it is really hard to take photos with the iphone. They are all a little blury and I was illequipped for a late night riot and did not have my camera on hand. But hopefully you can still grasp the experience.
But it was really intense. People were running through the street, stopping traffic with the flag, rocking taxis, littering the streets with toilet paper streamers, climbing up tractor trailors and dump trucks, some drivers were getting out of their cars and dancing in the streets. All right in my neighborhood! Most people were really excited and cool about the traffic jam. Except for one guy who was unfortunate to bear a slight resemblance to John Mccain. The neighborhood boys chased him down the street a bit. I was scared for him. Of course the cops came and chased everyone off. Except for one local woman who was breakdancing in front of the cop cars and later down the middle lane of a one way road. She’s a little crazy.
