“Finally got out on the bikes Saturday and boy howdy I do not recall bike seats being so abusive to the lady bits. I had to keep lowering my seat not to feel imposed upon. Surely it had to do with the first time back in the saddle. Yowch.”

lost in the cornfields and cowtowns of kansas…..

Tomorrow starts my newest adventure: driving cross country. I’ve downloaded several books on tape: On the Road by Jack Keroac, Wuthering Heights, a book by J.R.Tolkein and a whole box of audiobooks my mom sent me. I plan on taking it easy and casually. I want to stop and see the world’s largest ball of twine and there happens to be some camping and hiking along a lake there. It’s in Cawker City, Kansas, a town with a poplulation of 500. Stop in St. Louis, maybe Kansas City. Spend a day exploring Chicago.
